How to Use and Edit Master Slides in Microsoft PowerPoint
In this tutorial, we'll be using the Toetiec PowerPoint Presentation Template. This template comes with 90 unique slides and ten different template versions. This template has a design that can be used for any purpose.
Let's get started:
1. Open the Slide Master Tool
Knowing how to edit a master slide in PowerPoint can be helpful. Using this tool can mean that you can make quick changes to multiple slides to multiple presentation slides. To access the slide master, click on the View tab above the toolbar. Second, click on the Slide Master button in the toolbar.
2. Insert Another Slide Master
When the Slide Master view is open, it'll automatically show the master slide with all of the associated slides. To add a new slide master, first, click on a space in-between where you want the new master slide to appear. Next, click on the Slide Master tab, then click on the Insert Slide Master button.
2. Delete the Current Slide Layout

3. Change the Slide Orientation

Next, click on the Slide Size button. When you click on this button, a menu drops down. From the menu, click on the Page Setup… option.
After you click on this option, a Page Setup window appears. In the Orientation section of this window, you can choose the slide orientation you prefer.
4. Add a Header and Footer
If you want to add text that'll appear in the header and footer of your slide, you can edit the master slide in PPT. After you click on the Slide Master tab, click on the Slide Size button.
A menu drops down. From the menu, click on the Page Setup… option. When you click on this option, a Page Setup window appears. At the bottom of the Page Setup window, click on the Header/Footer… button.
A Header and Footer window appears when you click on the Header/Footer… button. Type what you want in the Footer field and select the box next to the Footer field. To save your changes, click the Apply to All button at the bottom of the window.
5. Close and Save Slide Master
To close the edit master slide PPT in the toolbar under the Slide Master tab, click on the Close Master button. This button looks like a red X in a box. You'll be taken out of the slide master tool when you click on this button.
