Twilio After Hours Podcast: Black Women In Tech

In 2017, we launched the Twilio After Hours event series to create inclusive spaces for professionals who did not see themselves reflected in the tech industry. This program empowered participants to engage in honest conversations, network with others and explore opportunities in the tech industry. To evolve and grow Twilio After Hours, the Global Employer Brand & Recruitment Marketing team is launching a thought-provoking podcast with honest and authentic conversations that aims to lift the veil on the tech industry and push diversity and inclusion forward.

“It’s an exciting time to relaunch Twilio After Hours. Evolving from an in-person event to a podcast series allows us to elevate more diverse voices and drive richer discussions fueled by our participants’ unique experiences,” said Corey Weathers, Developer Evangelist and Co-Founder of Twilio After Hours.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our podcast pilot episode, A Seat at the Table: Black Women in Tech, during Women’s History Month with some dynamic women in leadership at Twilio. You will get an opportunity to hear from our Chief Diversity Officer Lybra Clemons, VP and Chief of Staff, to the CEO Ivy Grant, Chief Information Officer Michelle Grover, and VP of R&D Finance Orisa Cherenfant. During the podcast, these women discussed the importance of celebrating and supporting women in the workplace, navigating spaces when you’re the only one in the room, finding community through ERGs, showing up as your authentic self, and so much more.

Tune in to listen to these authentic stories and get inspired by their lived experiences.
