We're extremely happy to announce that ValueFirst and Twilio are joining forces.
With a shared history in making communications simple and straightforward to use, Twilio and ValueFirst are powering the next wave of customer engagement. Twilio has been impressed with ValueFirst's market position and how well our core values and goals align. ValueFirst's entrepreneurial spirit and people-focused mentality remind us so much of our own Twilio Magic. That's why today, we're thrilled to announce that Twilio has acquired ValueFirst.
Solving hard communications problems
Since 2003, ValueFirst has been hard at work solving difficult communications problems in India.
ValueFirst has a lineup of great products across the communications stack – from Messaging, to MarTech, to Conversational AI. They've earned the loyalty and trust of more than 2,500 customers in the region: Google, Punjab National Bank, P&G, and Tata Motors, among many other leading companies.
Originally, ValueFirst started as a 14 person team – they now have over 350 extraordinary employees and are headquartered in Gurugram, India. Last fiscal year, ValueFirst processed over 42 billion SMS messages and was one of India's largest messaging aggregators and CPaaS – Communications Platform as a Service – players. We believe that by coming together, Twilio and ValueFirst will accelerate our business in the region by solidifying our local presence and connectivity with mobile operators while strengthening our relationship with customers.
A significant development for Twilio in India
India is an extremely important market for Twilio and our global customers. Last year in April, Twilio opened its new R&D office in Bengaluru, India, and started onboarding new employees virtually. The region is experiencing significant growth in mobile messaging and presents many opportunities for Twilio in SMS, chatbot capability, and email.
Twilio's partnership with ValueFirst strengthens our commitment to the country by bringing together the world's largest cloud communication company with a leading player in India, ValueFirst. ValueFirst will work closely with Twilio to share knowledge, insights, and connections and grow the market even more.
Commenting on the partnership, Vishwadeep Bajaj, ValueFirst's CEO & Founder, said that, "We're obsessed with customer centricity and helping businesses have joyful conversations. Twilio and ValueFirst share very similar values. Twilio's trusted brand, services, and global reach will enable us to service our customers in more meaningful ways."
Joining forces to serve customers better
Twilio and ValueFirst share a customer-first focus, and we're both thrilled to continue to build out communications capabilities for our customers in India – and all around the world.
Our partnership is just beginning, but the opportunity is enormous. And we're ready to serve you.
Now that Twilio and ValueFirst have joined forces, we're more excited than ever to see what you build.
