It all began when I failed miserably with my bulky monolithic web application which I developed for a client when working at a startup. I felt so disappointed that I even thought of quitting programming completely. But the hunger for knowledge pushed me harder and made me work on building scalable web applications and that was how I came across RESTful APIs.
