One of the projects of the 2022 Full-Stack Web Development Bootcamp (signups open March 29, bootcamp starts on April 05) is a YOUTUBE CLONE application.
In this project we’ll replicate the core functionality of YouTube.
YouTube is an amazing place these days.
You can literally find everything you want to watch and it keeps suggesting great new content to keep you entertained.
It can help you learn more of what you want, depending on what you search.
In this project we’ll first start by creating the homepage that’s filled with videos, replicating almost exactly how it looks on YouTube.

Then we’ll create the single video page.
We’ll add a video player.
We’ll create user profiles (channels) with the videos of a single user.
By logging in every user creates a channel by choosing a username and a name, and a profile picture.
This will make it possible for you to upload videos to the website, and show them to everyone.
Once you’re logged in, you can interact with content by upvoting, downvoting, adding comments, subscribe to channels.
When a video is opened we increment its views, and if you view it as “logged in”, we also mark it as played for you.
We’ll also implement search, for the first time in the bootcamp.
