Adding curved text in Google Slides can be tricky to figure out how to do on your own. Here are two methods that you can use to add curved text to your Google Slides template:

Method 1: Adding Curved Text Using PowerPoint

This first method uses PowerPoint to add curve text to Google Slides. So, to follow this method, you’ll need to have both PowerPoint and Google Drive.

I’ll be using PowerPoint 16.69 for macOS. If you’re using a different version, your results may be slightly different.

1. Choose a Template

The first step in how to curve text in Google Slides is to choose a premium template from Envato Elements.

In this tutorial, we’ll be using the Kamsupay Google Slides Template. This template comes with 20 unique slides in both widescreen and standard format. It comes with three color schemes you can choose from. Kamsupay Google Slides Template also comes with animations built in.

2. Open PowerPoint

First, open PowerPoint and click on the Insert tab. Next, click on the Text Box button.

When you click on the Text Box button, your mouse turns into a tool to draw a diagonal line where you want the text box to go.

I’m going to add a text box to slide 4. Click inside the textbox and add your text.

3. Text Effects

After you’ve added your text to the slide, highlight the text to that you want to add the text effects. Next, click on the Shape Format tab above the toolbar. Then, click in the Text Effects button in the toolbar.

When you click on the Text Effects button, a menu drops down. First, choose the Transform option from the menu. When you choose this button, a menu appears. Choose the first option under the Follow Path section from the menu.

4. Copy the Curved Text to Google Slides

To transfer your curved text to Google Slides, you’ll need to copy your curved text slide. You can copy the slide using the keyboard shortcut Command+C on a Mac. You can also Right-Click and from the menu to appears click on the Copy option.

5. Add a New Slide

Add a new blank slide where you want the slide with curved text to be.

To add a new slide Right-Click in between the slides of where you want the slides. When you right-click, a menu appears. From the menu, click on the New Slide option. This slide appears as a blank black slide.

6. Paste

Right-click on your blank slide. A menu appears. Click on the Paste option.

When you click on the Paste option, your slide is copied over from PowerPoint.

Method 2: Use a Tool

The second method is to use an outside tool. TroyTube has a free tool that you can use to create an image with curved text. Here’s how to use that tool to add curved text to your presentation slide:

Go to troytube.net. This tool makes it easy to add curved text to your slide. But it’ll be difficult if you’re trying to add a large amount of curved text.

2. Enter the Text

Next, click on the orange Enter Text button on the top left of the screen. When you click on this button, it turns blue. A field appears where you can enter your text. The text you enter here turns into curved text.

3. Copy the Image

Right-Click on the text. When you right-click it, a menu appears. From the menu, click on Copy Image or Save Image As…

4. Open Google Slides

This final step is to open Google Slides to the slide to which you want to add the curved text. Right-Click on the slide. When you right-click, a menu appears. From the menu, click on the Paste option.

This method creates an image of curved text. You won’t be able to edit the curved text from within Google Slides once you’ve created it.

What Is Wrapped Text?

Wrapped text is where you wrap the text around an image or object on your slide.

Typically, this is done around images or graphic objects. If you want to make use of all the space on your slide, this is a great way to do it.

How to Wrap Text in Google Slides

Here’s how to wrap text in Google Slides:

First, click on the Insert tab above the ribbon. When you click on the Insert tab, a menu drops down. From that menu, click on the Image option.

A menu appears. Choose the correct choice based on where your image file is located. Then, adjust your image as needed.

3. Add a Text Box

If you want, delete any unwanted objects or text boxes from the slide.

After you’ve deleted any unwanted objects, you need to add a new textbox to your slide. There’s a text box button in the ribbon. Click on it.

When you click this button, your mouse turns into a drawing tool. Use this tool to draw a text box on the slide where you want the text to be. Then, click inside your text box and start typing.

4. Add a Second Text Box

Add a second text box beneath your image to create a wrapping text effect. Click on the Insert tab from the menu that appears and click on the text box option. When you do this, your cursor turns into a drawing tool. Use that tool to draw a text box. Next, click inside the text box and start typing.
