AI vs AGI: A Comparison
While the terms AI and AGI are often used interchangeably, they represent different concepts in AI research. In “The Matrix,” machines with AGI have taken over the world, and humans have lost control, which is one of the potential risks that experts worry about when discussing the development of AGI.
The Need for Regulation
For AGI to develop responsibly, regulation is key. Many AI and machine learning experts call for open-sourced AI models so the public can understand how they’re trained and operate. It’s crucial to start discussing these big questions as early as possible, welcoming diverse perspectives and schools of thought on this critical issue.
