\ Contests on HackerNoon are the gifts that keep on giving!
\ Today, we're excited to unwrap another opportunity for crypto enthusiasts, economists, social scientists, and writers to compete for $1,000 in prizes in the #ethereum writing contest.
\ Sponsored by DeGate, the #ethereum writing contest invites participants to discuss Ethereum’s pole position in global finance.
What to write about
You can approach the contest from three main angles:
For the Crypto Natives
- Discuss why Ethereum is considered a leader in achieving the balance of decentralization, scalability, and security.
- Explore how Layer 2 solutions enhance Ethereum's scalability while maintaining trustlessness.
For the Economists
- Analyze how Ethereum's decentralized and trustless nature forms the backbone of a new global financial system.
- Reflect on the evolution of financial systems and how Ethereum offers a more resilient alternative.
For the Social Scientists
Examine how a decentralized finance system, where individuals control their assets, influences governance, power structures, and individual freedoms.
Consider how the concept of trust is redefined in the finance arena, transitioning from trust-based to trustless systems, and the potential societal benefits and challenges.
