Hey everyone!
I’m a recent software engineering grad (40 years young with much life experience) who’s just starting out with my own small engineering services business. As I’m branching into web development, I’ve quickly realized that there’s a significant difference between web development and web design. While I’m comfortable with the technical side of things, I’m finding that my lack of a background in art and design is slowing me down.
I’ve been thinking about how important it is to find the right partner—someone who complements my skills with their design expertise. But I also realize that finding someone who’s at the same stage as I am, and who shares the same entrepreneurial spirit, isn’t easy.
For those of you who’ve been in a similar situation, how did you go about finding a partner? What challenges did you face, and how did you overcome them? And if you’re just starting out like me, how are you navigating this learning curve between development and design?
I’m curious to hear your stories, advice, and even any challenges you’re currently facing. Let’s start a conversation about the best ways to find and work with partners as we build our businesses from the ground up.
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
