What I Created
This submission is a comprehensive beginner's guide for building a simple DeFi application on the Stellar network using JavaScript.
It supports the Stellar developer experience by providing a step-by-step tutorial that covers fundamental blockchain and DeFi concepts, as well as practical implementation of key Stellar operations.
Other developers can use this guide as a learning resource, reference material, project template, or teaching tool to kickstart their journey in creating DeFi applications on Stellar.
Journey
My research process involved diving deep into the latest Stellar documentation and exploring the updated SDK.
I was motivated to create an accessible guide for beginners that leverages modern Stellar RPC servers and the latest methods and classes from the Stellar SDK.
Through this process, I gained valuable insights into Stellar's evolving ecosystem, operations, and its potential for DeFi applications.
I'm particularly proud of crafting a guide that bridges theoretical concepts with practical implementation, making it easier for newcomers to enter the Stellar development space.
Moving forward, I am holding a developer workshop on 22 August 2024 to onboard more developers to start building Stellar which this article and tutorial submission were an intro course.

I also hope to expand on this foundation by creating more advanced tutorials and contributing to open-source Stellar projects, further enriching the developer experience in this dynamic ecosystem.
