After you decide to pick WordPress as a tech for your business operations, here a question pops up, what kind of hosting you should go with, okay take it easy, today I will demystify this topic for you, unveiling what the possible hosting types that you can use

1. What hosting types are available with WordPress

okay, firstly I want to clap for you for choosing WordPress, until now you are lucky because with WordPress there are multiple hosting providers with different plans.
so for the hosting kinds, you have three:

  • Shared Hosting
  • VPS Hosting
  • Managed Hosting

now we will see the meaning of each one of them

2. Hosting types explained

I. Shared Hosting:

shared hosting stands for a kind of web hosting where many users use the same resources of a single server to host their websites, which is budget-friendly for the users, but it is challenging when we talk about performance, however, this one is the most used hosting among WordPress hosting providers.

II. VPS Hosting

your freedom and control of things are important to you, okay this plan is for you! VPS is the acronym for a virtual private server and it stands for allocating specific resources (like CPU, RAM, and disk space) to your websites, this is why VPS hosting plans are performant, and they are not cheap as shared hosting.

III. Managed Hosting:

from its name "Managed", this kind of hosting is more intended for non-technical persons where your host provider takes care of your WordPress website such as maintenance and updates instead of you, and they have invested in top-notch security measures to keep your space safe, your websites on managed hosting will be hosted on VPS or shared hosting, it depends on your budget.

3. Best Hosting Providers (My Opinion)

I. Shared Hosting:

for shared hosting, there are many companies, in my opinion the good shared hosting companies are: GoDaddy, NameCheap, and FastComet

II. VPS Hosting:

I've used some VPS Hosting for some clients and my preferred are NameCheap and FastComet

III. Managed Hosting

for the managed hosting, there are some companies that they are trusty, the first one is the giant WordPress.com, followed by WPengine and Kinsta
