Privacy is becoming a first class citizen in today world. I know a lot of people are like meh whatever, but even the casual computer user should be concerned people are mining your data emails and phone numbers then creating profiles for you on social media and this can be used to do fraud and worse.
I previously wrote about setting about your own custom domain email It's very powerful you can create throwaway emails there also but you have to actually login and create them and delete them or make an api to do it.
Here's another cool free trick for anyone. If you use Bitwarden they sneakily introduced a Generator for their desktop app for "Username" before it was just passwords.
If you click Forwarded Email Alias you will be able to pick a service like so:
You will need to signup and get an API key, most are free.
Now when I click the generate I get a new email that I can send cough cough recruiters, or bad dates, or my weird uncle steve. More realistically website sign ups perhaps like so:
The emails will go to my set email when I signed up in DuckDuckGo in this instance.
You can Also use this without Bitwarden directly. You need to add the extension which maybe is asking a lot here then naviagete here for a new email each time https://duckduckgo.com/email/settings/autofill
