My Community Platform
We've built a video platform specifically for developers and tech creators to share their content in a space designed to meet their needs and interests. Today, most tech content creators rely on platforms like YouTube or Twitch. While these platforms have large audiences, they also come with significant downsides for creators. These creators often find themselves competing with a broad range of content, from gaming to lifestyle videos, which means their content is at the mercy of algorithms that don’t prioritize tech-specific interests.
On our platform, there’s no algorithm pushing creators to chase trends, and no ads interrupting the content. Instead, we follow a subscription model that directly benefits creators: users pay a subscription fee to access the platform, and creators are compensated based on the number of hours watched on their channels. This approach ensures fair, direct compensation for tech creators who can now focus on what matters: making high-quality content without worrying about constantly adapting to algorithm changes.
With this model, users directly support the creators they enjoy, while creators can focus solely on providing valuable tech knowledge without external pressures to stay “relevant” in an algorithm-driven environment. This platform aims to build a sustainable, community-driven ecosystem for both creators and viewers, designed by tech creators, for tech creators.
Note: This is a proof of concept created specifically for this challenge, so it is not yet fully functional as envisioned! Member login and Member area are not included, as well as the ability to access a dedicated page for viewing single videos with comment and timeline functions.

Development Journey
I utilized two main APIs:
Wix Animations Frontend: This API was used to implement timeline animations on the homepage, adding dynamic, engaging elements to the user experience.
Wix Location Frontend: This API allowed me to programmatically open new pages when clicking on elements that don’t natively support links, such as stacks and containers, enhancing navigation flexibility on the site.
Wix Apps
Several Wix Apps were integrated to enhance functionality and speed up the development:
FAQ: Used to build a FAQ section on the homepage, providing quick answers to common questions.
Pricing Plans: Utilized for managing plan listings, purchases, and the paywall, all displayed on the homepage for easy access.
Comments: Enabled user comments on certain resources, creating a more interactive and community-driven experience.
Member Login: Set up to create a member area for registered users, though it's not fully functional yet and is currently hidden from the menu.
