The #blockchain Writing Contest puts decentralization—a core tenet of blockchain technology—front and center, challenging participants to discuss the current and future impact of three main applications of decentralized technologies: #decentralized-ai, #decentralized-cloud, and #dePIN, for a chance to win up to $2,000!
\ The ideal participant is a writer, developer, or industry expert who understands how decentralization affects tech company scaling, user interaction, and data management and security.

- Must be 18+ to enter
- Must create a HackerNoon account.
- You can enter the contest by adding the #blockchain tag to your
- No AI-generated content is allowed!

Can I Write Under a Pen Name?
Yes! You can use your real name on your HN profile, a fake name, or even create a persona to write under.
How Long Will the Contest Run?
The contest will run for 3 months.
- Submissions open: Feb 5, 2025
- Submissions close: May 7, 2025
Can I submit more than one entry to the contest?
Of course! Each story submission shall be considered a separate entry into the writing contest.
How are the winners selected?
- After the submissions window closes, we’ll review submitted entries and shortlist the stories that receive the most eyeballs (real humans, not bots!).
- Next, the shortlisted stories will be voted on by HackerNoon
- Finally, the top #decentralized-ai, #decentralized-cloud, and #dePIN stories will be selected and announced.
Can I win more than one prize?
