Lately, I’ve seen a lot of discussions about whether AI is taking away our ability to think.
But in reality, those who use AI extensively often find its responses unsatisfactory and constantly need to refine their prompts. In my opinion, heavy users mainly leverage AI for productivity rather than blindly following its outputs. The real value lies in having a tool that quickly retrieves and summarizes information, which we then refine based on our own understanding.
As I’ve mentioned before, if we can directly apply AI-generated results without any modification, it likely means the task itself has little value—because anyone can do it effortlessly. With AI breaking language and geographical barriers, even more people now have access to the same capabilities.
I personally believe that those with strong independent thinking skills will only become stronger, while those who struggle with critical thinking will also improve over time. Viewing new technology as an enemy or a threat can easily limit our growth.
