liner notes:
Professional : I have no clue where the day went. I sat in an all hands meeting this morning. Responded to some community questions that required some research. Worked on the ReadMe copy for a demo application I made to showcase a new feature. Had a talk prep session where a team member went over their talk as a dry run to get feedback and work some details out. Responded to another community questions did some work on the documentation and next thing I know, it's past closing time. haha .
Personal : Last night I went through some tracks for the radio show. I also did a bunch of trial and error in getting this page in my side project to work the way I want. The user should be able to click a button that will allow a section to stretch over the whole page. That would cause a shift in the section's layout allowing for a part to get bigger so the user can see more details clearer. I also would like the same functionality if the user's browser supports the Document Picture-In-Picture API (https://developer.chrome.com/docs/web-platform/document-picture-in-picture). I am super close to getting it to work. I've tried all sorts of iteration using CSS Grid and Flexbox. This might be a good use case for using CSS containers. I'll have to see. I ended the night watching an episode of "The Umbrella Academy".
There's a virtual meetup happening that I'm about to sit in on. Will probably eat dinner at the same time. I want to see if I can figure out this CSS for my side project. The more I think about it, I think CSS containers (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/@container) could be what I'm looking for. Will do some more playing around with that. Want to go through some tracks for the radio show and end the night watching "The Umbrella Academy". Need to complete my step goal as well.
Have a great night!
peace piece
