For the past year, I have been working on bringing a great macOS app back to life — an app for Hype Machine.

Hype Machine is a popular website for discovering upcoming songs and artists.

In 2014, Alexander Marchant and Glenn Hitchcock released a closed-source macOS app for Hype Machine. For the past few years, the app hasn’t gotten much love, so we at Wulkano (we already maintain Kap, a popular screen recorder) convinced them to let us open-source the app and put it on the App Store. In the process, I modernized the code, fixed a myriad of bugs & crashes, added dark mode, and some features.
