I wrote about how much I love Notion and I’ve been keeping track of my healthy habits using the tool.

Keeping up with new years resolutions and forming new habits requires consistency above all else. When things start slipping, it’s very easy to just say “screw it” and abandon the effort. In my opinion, this is where my Notion habit tracker shines. While the healthy behaviors I’m trying to cultivate may not have truly become habits yet, ticking Notion boxes has indeed become a habit. So even though I haven’t been perfect in, say, doing a workout every day, I’ve been consistent in tracking that habit.

A calendar view of Notion that shows tick boxes for the month of February 2021. It shows some days with few or no checkboxes checked, indicating days of inactivity.
A table view of Notion showing the days of February 20221 listed out in a table. It shows several table rows where all or most of the checkboxes are unchecked, indicating days of inactivity.

This month compared to last month saw a few days where I didn’t check any (or most) boxes. Those were days where I just had too much going on or was too exhausted to do anything. I’ve got a lot going on in my life right now so I’m not going to beat myself up over it.

But the cool thing is that seeing that blank (or mostly blank) row is that I make a big effort to make up for it the next day and beyond. In other words, I want to ensure those days of inactivity remain outliers versus becoming my new normal.

I continue to be really pleased with how this habit tracker continues to give me visibility into my habits and holds me accountable.
