Hi! I'm Helen, one of #SQL and #database tag moderators.

In this final edition of the classic posts series I'll be taking a trip down memory lane and showcasing some classic data posts. Some of these might be your 'go-to' resources already, others may offer some new insight or ideas.

Let's jump into the posts!

First up Joe shows us what a view really is. Is it a table? Is it stored somewhere? Will it solve performance issues? Read on to find out.

This classic post from Adam is one of my favourites. Check it out to find out what happens when you don't check your query before you run it. And then what to do if it all goes wrong.

Next up is a post from Tariq who explores different ways to load data into a transaction SQL system. From inserting a couple of records, all the way to millions of records.

This classic post from Erik teaches you how to pivot. Pivoting data is simply an exercise in displaying the data you already have in a different way. Erik makes sure anyone struggling to write the perfect pivoting query will get the help they need.

Our last post is from Alan who takes on the frustrations we face in the data world. In this post it's commentary on the dream of self-serve analytics. Check out this post and the rest of Alan's writing for more.

That's all for this month! For more from the Data Community check out the #sql, #postgres, #mysql, and #database tags, and follow @TheDatabaseDev on Twitter.
